Then comes the perimeter: 150 mm pins at 300 to 500 mm spacing, or 100 to 150 mm galvanised nails at roughly 300 to 400 mm. Both go in closer on slopes and doorways. Seam count is decided when roll widths are chosen, long before anyone kneels on the grass. Standard rolls come 2 m, 4 m or 5 m wide by 25 m long, and matching width to the site removes joins instead of hiding them.

Acceptance Checklist Before You Sign Off

Handover is the moment to be difficult, because every item below can be checked within an hour and fixed cheaply now or expensively later. Walk the list in order.

Base Firmness
