Corporate lobbies, trade show booths and retail flagships use brand-colored turf to create immersive environments. The color is in the fiber — not painted on — so it withstands foot traffic, cleaning and years of use without fading or peeling.

All Relyir colored turf uses UV-stabilized fiber with fade-resistant pigments compounded into the yarn during extrusion. The color is integral to the fiber, not a surface coating, which means it holds under continuous sun exposure.

Relyir’s colored turf range covers more than a dozen standard colors, with custom color matching available for projects that require a specific Pantone or RAL reference. The color is compounded into the PE fiber during extrusion — the same process used for our standard green products — so the colored fiber has the same structural integrity, UV resistance and wear performance as our landscaping and sports lines.
Dual-tone constructions combine two colors in the same turf — for example, a navy blade with a silver thatch for a sophisticated commercial interior, or a bright red blade with a dark thatch for a high-energy playground.
Event and exhibition use is a significant application for colored turf. Trade show floors, fashion show runways, product launch venues and festival grounds use temporary colored turf installations that are removed after the event. The roll format makes deployment and removal efficient, and the turf can be reused for subsequent events if stored properly.
For sports facilities, colored turf integrates line markings, team colors and zone boundaries directly into the surface. This eliminates the need for painted lines that require frequent reapplication and can affect ball behavior on the playing surface.
Factory Direct from Jiangsu
Relyir has manufactured artificial grass in Jiangsu since 2006. Color compounding happens during our first production step, ensuring the pigment is integral to the fiber rather than applied as a surface treatment.
All eight production stages are managed in-house. Color formulation is handled during the compounding stage, where UV-stabilized pigments are blended with PE resin before extrusion. This ensures the color runs through the entire fiber cross-section, not just the surface — which is why Relyir colored turf holds its color through years of wear and sun exposure.
Custom color orders require a color-matching phase where we produce sample swatches for your approval before full production runs. The export team has shipped to more than 500 customers across 50+ countries since 2009.
Installation Considerations
Colored turf installs the same way as standard green turf, with a few additional considerations for color transitions and visual alignment.
Plan the color layout and seam positions before ordering. Color transitions should fall at natural boundaries — between zones, along walkway edges, or at design features — to look intentional rather than arbitrary.
Prepare the base the same as for standard turf installation — compacted aggregate, weed barrier, leveled surface. The base requirements are identical regardless of fiber color.
Lay and seam the colored turf using standard methods. When seaming different colors together, ensure the seam line is straight and the fiber pile direction is consistent across the join for a clean visual transition.
Apply infill appropriate for the application — sand for landscaping, sand-rubber for sports and play areas. Brush the fibers upright. Colored turf may show brush marks more visibly than green, so use a consistent brushing pattern.
Colored turf maintenance follows the same principles as standard green turf — regular brushing, debris removal and periodic infill top-up. UV-stabilized pigments maintain color integrity through the product’s lifespan.
For event-use turf that is installed temporarily and stored between uses, roll the turf fiber-face inward and store in a dry, shaded location. Proper storage extends the usable life across multiple events.
